Children who love teddy bears, love music, and love bright colors will surely love the Teddy Xylophone. Teddy has movable arms that stike a 5-note xylophone when the toy is pulled. Teddy can hit all 5 notes with his mallots to play a merry tune. Teddy was originally sold with a circus hat and shirt, but in 1949 he was redesigned as a naked teddy bear - my goodness!
Patent No. 2,089,885.
British Patent No. 497,058.

Suggested retail price in Easter of 1948 was $1.50.
The following poem can be found in one of Fisher-Price's mini-catalogues from the late 40's:
Look at the actor, hi there Teddy
Bang out a tune when you are ready
We know you will play a tune we like
As you hold those mallets ready to strike.
