Sesame Street Clubhouse
#937
c1977-1979
Two years after the release of #938 Sesame Street (Apartments), Fisher-Price released another Sesame Street playset...the #937 Clubhouse. This clubhouse is a white building with lots of fun activities to keep the accessory characters busy. A crank on the side of the building makes Big Birds nest on top of the building spin, and activates a moving walkway. When figures stand on the moving sidewalk it takes them to the edge then dumps them down the curled red slide. The front of the building has a set of stairs that leads to a trap door that sends the accessory figures down a chute and out the side of the building. The front also has a green door, a black plastic tire swing attached to a horizontal spring post, and a blue flip-up lid that allows children to peek inside of the clubhouse. The flip-up lid and the tire swing are often broken or missing entirely. The back of the building has a green revolving door and an attached yellow merry-go-round.
All of the accessories, except the figures, are exclusive to this set. A similar, but differently shaped and colored jump rope was used in 1988-1990's #2550 School. Likewise, a white play tube the same size as those used in this set was used in the #2550 School.
The clubhouse mold was later modified to create the #934 Western Town base.
